Section 8
Commander-in-Chief
(1) The appointment of the Commander-in-Chief will be made by the President on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers. He will be awarded the Tajryani symbol by the President.
(2) The Commander-in-Chief will be the head of the Nepali Army.
(3) In the event that the post of Commander-in-Chief becomes vacant due to leave or any other reason, a senior officer of the Nepalese Army appointed by the President on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers shall continue to hold the office of Commander-in-Chief.
